Puradak Chicken Carrollton Review: Second Visit

For my Puradak Carrollton second visit review, I decided to order takeout instead of dining at the restaurant, giving me a chance to compare another chicken flavor with the Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken I enjoyed during my first visit.

My first experience at Puradak was positive. I especially liked the creamy, mildly spicy Chili Mayo chicken, while the Black Aglio Wings were another enjoyable option.

This time, I returned to the Chili Mayo flavor and added Corn So Amazing Boneless Chicken to try something different.

The results were mixed. Chili Mayo remained my favorite, but Corn So Amazing was less flavorful than I expected. Even the corn served with it did not leave a particularly good impression on me.

We also received complimentary cheese balls again, although a friend who tried them had a different opinion from mine.

Another thing that stood out was Puradak’s premium takeout packaging. Before I even opened the chicken, the presentation had already caught my attention.

Puradak’s presentation felt more polished than I expected, and I appreciated the effort that went into creating that impression.

Of course, I would not return to a restaurant just because its takeout packaging looks attractive.

Once I opened the order, the quality of the chicken mattered much more than the bag or box.

Still, I thought the presentation was a positive part of the experience, especially because this was my first time trying Puradak as takeout.

During my first visit, I had eaten at the restaurant and appreciated its modern atmosphere. This time, I was eating at home, so I could evaluate the food separately from the dining environment.

The main question was whether the Chili Mayo would remain satisfying and whether Corn So Amazing could become another flavor I would want to order again.

What I Ordered from Puradak Carrollton

I ordered two boneless chicken flavors during this visit: Chili Mayo and Corn So Amazing.

Chili Mayo was a repeat order because I had enjoyed it so much during my first visit.

Corn So Amazing was new to me, and I wanted to find out whether it would offer another flavor worth adding to my future orders.

Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken: Still My Favorite

Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken was my favorite order during my first visit to Puradak, and I was happy that it did not disappoint me the second time.

The sauce had the same creamy flavor and mild spicy kick that I remembered enjoying before.

What I particularly like about Chili Mayo is that the sauce adds richness without completely overpowering the chicken.

The creaminess is noticeable, but there is also enough spiciness to keep the flavor interesting.

For my personal taste, that balance makes the chicken easier to enjoy throughout the meal than a sauce that is too spicy or excessively heavy.

I also liked the texture of the boneless pieces. They were crispy on the outside and tender inside, which is the combination I usually look for in Korean fried chicken.

Even though I was eating takeout at home rather than dining at the restaurant, I still found the chicken satisfying.

That was reassuring because I had wondered whether I would enjoy the same flavor as much outside the restaurant.

After two visits, Chili Mayo has become the Puradak flavor I feel most confident ordering.

It is not simply a dish that impressed me once. I have now ordered it during two different visits and enjoyed it both times.

My recommendation: If you enjoy creamy Korean chicken sauces with a gentle spicy kick, Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken would be my first choice at Puradak Carrollton.

If I were placing another order tomorrow, this would be the flavor I would look for first.

Corn So Amazing Boneless Chicken: Disappointingly Mild

Corn So Amazing was the new chicken flavor I decided to try during my second visit.

Unfortunately, it was much less memorable than the Chili Mayo.

The chicken itself was not terrible, so my disappointment was not that the entire order was bad.

The problem was that I struggled to find a distinctive flavor that made Corn So Amazing interesting to me.

Given the menu name, I had expected a more noticeable corn flavor and a combination that would stand out from Puradak’s other sauces.

Instead, the overall flavor felt relatively mild.

The contrast was particularly clear because I was eating it alongside Chili Mayo, which had a creamy sauce and a recognizable spicy character.

With Chili Mayo, I knew exactly what I enjoyed about the flavor. With Corn So Amazing, I did not have that same reaction.

The corn served with the chicken was another disappointment.

I had hoped for more sweetness and richness, but it tasted somewhat bland compared with what I expected.

For comparison, I have enjoyed the corn at Wingstop more because I personally find it more flavorful.

That is a comparison based on my own taste, but it helps explain why the corn at Puradak did not impress me.

I would not say that everyone should avoid Corn So Amazing. Someone who prefers milder chicken flavors might enjoy it more than I did.

However, for someone with preferences similar to mine, I would recommend Chili Mayo first.

Would I order Corn So Amazing again? Probably not as my first choice. The chicken was acceptable, but neither its flavor nor the accompanying corn gave me a strong reason to repeat the order.

Complimentary Cheese Balls: My Friend and I Disagreed

Just like during my first visit, our order also included complimentary cheese balls.

I appreciated receiving them again because I had enjoyed them previously.

During this visit, the cheese balls were warm, with a slightly crispy exterior and a soft interior.

Personally, I liked them. They provided something different to eat alongside the boneless chicken.

However, a friend who tried the cheese balls was not particularly impressed.

That difference in opinion was interesting because I had considered them a positive part of both visits.

It reminded me that even a simple side dish can receive very different reactions depending on personal preference.

I still enjoyed the cheese balls, but I would not describe them as something everyone will necessarily like.

I also would not assume that complimentary cheese balls are included with every order. They were provided during my two visits, but I cannot confirm whether that is a regular promotion.

My impression: The cheese balls were a pleasant extra for me, but they would not be a reason on their own to order from Puradak.

Chili Mayo vs. Corn So Amazing: Which Would I Order Again?

Trying Chili Mayo and Corn So Amazing during the same takeout meal made my preference easy to explain.

Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken: My clear favorite. I enjoyed the creamy sauce, gentle spiciness, crispy exterior, and tender chicken.

Corn So Amazing Boneless Chicken: Less memorable for my taste. The chicken itself was acceptable, but the overall seasoning was too mild, and the corn served with it lacked the sweetness and richness I wanted.

The two flavors offered very different experiences.

Chili Mayo had a recognizable balance of creaminess and heat that made me want to keep eating it.

Corn So Amazing did not provide the same satisfaction. Even after trying the accompanying corn, I was left wishing the dish had a stronger flavor.

If I were ordering only one boneless chicken flavor from these two options, I would choose Chili Mayo without hesitation.

That preference is also supported by my experience across two visits. Chili Mayo impressed me the first time and remained enjoyable when I ordered it again.

Corn So Amazing was a new experiment, but it did not become another favorite.

What Changed Between My First and Second Visits?

My second visit to Puradak Carrollton was different from the first in several ways.

During my first visit, I ate at the restaurant and tried Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken and Black Aglio Wings.

I enjoyed both dishes, but Chili Mayo became my favorite because of its creamy, mildly spicy sauce.

On this second visit, I ordered takeout and chose Chili Mayo again, along with Corn So Amazing.

That allowed me to find out whether my favorite flavor would still be satisfying when eaten at home.

It was. The chicken remained enjoyable, and I appreciated that the texture and sauce still suited my taste.

The takeout experience also gave me a chance to appreciate Puradak’s premium packaging, which was not the main focus of my earlier restaurant visit.

However, trying Corn So Amazing showed me that I should not expect every flavor on the menu to be equally appealing.

I also received complimentary cheese balls again, although my friend and I had different opinions about them.

After two visits, I feel more confident recommending specific dishes rather than simply recommending everything at Puradak.

Price and Portion Size at Puradak Carrollton

This time, I ordered two boneless chicken flavors, making it easy to compare their sauces and overall flavor during the same meal.

I did not record the exact prices or portion counts from this visit, so I cannot provide a reliable dollar comparison between Chili Mayo and Corn So Amazing.

What I can evaluate is which item felt more worthwhile based on my own enjoyment.

Chili Mayo was clearly the better choice for me because I enjoyed its flavor and texture enough to want to order it again.

Corn So Amazing did not offer the same satisfaction, mainly because its seasoning and accompanying corn were too mild for my preferences.

The complimentary cheese balls were another pleasant addition, but I would not treat them as a guaranteed part of the order when deciding what to buy.

For my next takeout order, I would rather focus on Chili Mayo or another flavor I had not yet tried instead of ordering Corn So Amazing again.

Overall Experience with Puradak Carrollton Takeout

My second experience with Puradak Carrollton was positive overall, but it helped me identify a menu item that does not particularly suit my taste.

The premium takeout packaging made a strong first impression. I liked how its clean, polished design felt more like a designer shopping bag than an ordinary fried chicken box.

However, the food itself was what ultimately determined how I felt about the order.

Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken was satisfying for the second time. I still enjoyed the creamy sauce, mild heat, and contrast between the crispy exterior and tender interior.

Corn So Amazing was much less memorable. The seasoning was mild, and the corn served with it was bland compared with what I expected.

Receiving complimentary cheese balls again was a pleasant surprise, although my friend was less enthusiastic about them than I was.

In the end, the most useful thing about this visit was learning that Chili Mayo remained a reliable favorite while Corn So Amazing was not something I felt strongly about ordering again.

I would still consider Puradak when craving Korean fried chicken, but I would be more selective about which flavors I chose.

My Final Verdict on Puradak Carrollton

My second visit to Puradak Carrollton confirmed that Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken is still my favorite flavor among the dishes I have tried there.

My favorite order: Chili Mayo Boneless Chicken. Its creamy sauce, gentle spiciness, crispy exterior, and tender meat were satisfying on both visits.

Most disappointing order: Corn So Amazing Boneless Chicken. The flavor was too mild for me, and the corn served with it lacked the richness and sweetness I expected.

Takeout presentation: One of the most distinctive parts of the experience. I appreciated the clean, premium packaging, although presentation matters less to me than the food.

Complimentary side: Cheese balls. I enjoyed them again, but my friend was less impressed, and I would not assume they are provided with every order.
