I returned to DAQ on a busy Friday evening for the $89.99 Yellowtail Sashimi Set and Large Wings.
Although I have visited during previous yellowtail seasons, this is my first time sharing the experience on Real Eats Dallas.
DAQ is located in a shopping center with a surprisingly large parking lot, but finding an available parking space was still difficult.
Even though the shopping center has plenty of parking spaces, it gets extremely crowded on Friday evenings.
It seems like every time I visit this shopping center on a Friday night, the entire area is packed with people.
Fortunately, the experience inside DAQ was much more relaxing than the parking situation outside.

Atmosphere and Service at DAQ Carrollton
One thing I really appreciate about DAQ Carrollton is its atmosphere.
The restaurant has a pleasant and welcoming environment that makes it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal with friends.
What impressed me even more was the service.
The staff members were extremely friendly throughout our visit.
Friendly service can make a big difference in the overall dining experience, and DAQ is one of those restaurants where I genuinely appreciate how customers are treated.
Despite the busy shopping center outside, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made the visit enjoyable.

What I Ordered at DAQ Carrollton
For this visit, I ordered two items: the Yellowtail Sashimi Set and a Large order of Wings.
Both were satisfying, but the Yellowtail Sashimi Set was the main reason I wanted to visit DAQ again.

Yellowtail Sashimi Set ($89.99)
The Yellowtail Sashimi Set is easily one of my favorite menu items at DAQ Carrollton.
In fact, this is a dish that makes me want to return whenever yellowtail season comes around.
What makes this set especially appealing is that it includes much more than just sashimi.
For $89.99 during my visit, the set included:
- Yellowtail Sashimi
- Sashimi Salad
- White Kimchi (Baek Kimchi)
- Korean Seafood Pancake (Pajeon)
- Seafood Ramen
- Three Hand Rolls
This combination makes the meal feel much more complete than ordering a single sashimi dish.
There is enough variety to enjoy several different dishes throughout the meal, which is one of the things I like most about this set.
Another reason I keep ordering it is the portion size.
In my experience, the Yellowtail Sashimi Set is large enough for about three to four people to share.
At $89.99, I think it offers excellent value considering the amount of food included.
When shared among four people, the price works out to about $22.50 per person before tax and tip.
Of course, the price may change, but based on what I paid during this visit, I was very satisfied with the value.
For me, this is not simply a sashimi set that I order occasionally.
It is one of those seasonal meals I genuinely look forward to eating again.

Large Wings
Along with the sashimi set, I also ordered a Large portion of Wings.
The first thing I noticed was the size of the wings.
They were noticeably large, giving each bite a satisfying amount of chicken.
I particularly enjoyed being able to take a full bite rather than feeling like I was eating small pieces with very little meat.
The generous size made the wings especially satisfying to chew.
More importantly, I thought they tasted better than the wings I have tried at many other restaurants.
Even though the Yellowtail Sashimi Set was the highlight of this visit, the wings were impressive enough that I would gladly order them again.
Is the Yellowtail Sashimi Set Worth $89.99?
For me, the answer is absolutely yes.
It is not necessarily a cheap menu item when looking at the total price, but the portion size and variety make it feel like a good value.
The combination of yellowtail sashimi, sashimi salad, white kimchi, seafood pancake, seafood ramen, and three hand rolls provides plenty of food for a group.
Considering that I can comfortably share this set with three or four people, I think the price is reasonable.
Most importantly, I enjoy it enough to return for it season after season.
That is probably the strongest recommendation I can give a menu item.

What Could Be Better?
The biggest inconvenience during this visit was parking.
Although the shopping center has a very large parking lot, it was difficult to find an open space because of how crowded the area was on Friday evening.
This is not necessarily a problem with DAQ itself, but it is something worth knowing before visiting.
If you plan to visit on a Friday night, I would recommend allowing a little extra time to find parking.
Other than that, I had very little to complain about during this visit.
My Final Verdict on DAQ Carrollton
DAQ Carrollton continues to be a restaurant I enjoy returning to, especially during yellowtail season.
The Yellowtail Sashimi Set is the biggest reason I keep coming back.
For $89.99, the combination of sashimi and several accompanying dishes offers enough variety and food to share with three or four people.
The Large Wings were another highlight because of their generous size and satisfying flavor.
On top of the food, the welcoming atmosphere and exceptionally friendly staff made the experience even better.
The only real downside was the crowded parking lot on Friday evening.
If you enjoy yellowtail sashimi and want a generous set to share with friends, DAQ Carrollton is a restaurant I would strongly recommend trying during yellowtail season.
As for me, I already know I will be back for the Yellowtail Sashimi Set again.
