About Real Eats Dallas
Welcome to Real Eats Dallas, an independent food blog sharing firsthand restaurant reviews from Dallas and the surrounding DFW area.
I created Real Eats Dallas to document my dining experiences and help readers discover restaurants through personal observations rather than promotional descriptions.
My reviews cover restaurants in Carrollton, Irving, Richardson, Lewisville, Denton, Dallas, and other nearby communities. I frequently explore Korean and Japanese restaurants, but I also enjoy trying different cuisines, cafes, bakeries, and dessert shops.
How I Write My Restaurant Reviews
Every restaurant review is based on an actual dining experience. I focus on the food I ordered, what I liked, what disappointed me, and whether I would consider returning.
Rather than evaluating an entire restaurant from one dish, I try to make clear which menu items I personally experienced and where my observations are limited.
I also pay attention to practical details such as portion sizes, prices when available, service, atmosphere, seating, and the overall dining experience.
My reviews include photographs from restaurant visits so readers can see the food and dining environment I experienced.
First Visits, Return Visits, and Personal Favorites
A first visit gives me an initial impression, but returning to a restaurant can reveal whether the food and service remain consistent.
That is why Real Eats Dallas includes both first visit reviews and repeat visit reviews. Sometimes a restaurant impresses me more on a second visit, while other times I discover that a different menu item does not meet my expectations.
Restaurants featured in my Must Try Spot category are places that have made a particularly strong impression on me through my dining experiences.
Honest Opinions and Editorial Independence
Food preferences are personal, and my reviews reflect my own tastes and experiences. A dish I enjoy may not appeal to everyone, and a dish I find disappointing may be exactly what another customer prefers.
I aim to explain the reasons behind my opinions rather than simply describe every restaurant as good or bad.
Real Eats Dallas values editorial independence. A business relationship does not guarantee a positive review, and any material relationship relevant to a review should be disclosed clearly to readers.
Restaurant Information and Updates
Restaurant menus, prices, operating hours, and ownership can change after my visit. Each review reflects my experience at the time, so current details may differ.
When I learn that a restaurant has closed or important information has changed, I aim to update the relevant article while preserving the original dining experience.
