I recently returned to Goobne Chicken Carrollton for a second visit.
Normally, a second visit is when a restaurant starts revealing whether the first experience was genuinely impressive or simply benefited from first-time excitement.
In the case of Goobne Chicken, this visit actually strengthened my opinion of the restaurant.
During my first visit, the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken completely stole the show.
It was one of the best chicken dishes I had tried recently, and I left wondering whether it could really be that good on a second visit.
After this meal, the answer was pretty clear.
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken remains the reason I would gladly return to Goobne Chicken again.
This time, I also ordered tteokbokki and a Hawaiian pizza, creating a combination that ended up working surprisingly well together.
Returning to Goobne Chicken Carrollton
The atmosphere at Goobne Chicken still feels lively and comfortable.
The restaurant continues to attract a steady flow of customers, which isn’t surprising considering how recognizable the Goobne brand is among Korean chicken fans.
Unlike traditional fried chicken restaurants, Goobne has always built its reputation around oven-roasted chicken.
Because of that, the menu feels slightly different from many other Korean chicken chains.
This second visit immediately felt familiar, but it also gave me the opportunity to focus more on consistency.
One great meal can happen anywhere.
What matters more is whether the restaurant can deliver the same satisfaction repeatedly.
This visit convinced me that Goobne Chicken is capable of doing exactly that.
What I Ordered at Goobne Chicken Carrollton
For this visit, I ordered the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken, tteokbokki, and a Hawaiian pizza.
At first glance, it may seem like a slightly unusual combination.
However, once everything arrived on the table, the balance between the dishes made a lot of sense.
Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken once again became the highlight of the entire meal.
The texture is what immediately separates this menu item from many other chicken dishes.
I generally prefer softer and juicier chicken over dry breast meat, and this dish delivers exactly that experience.
Every bite remained tender and flavorful.
The seasoning added enough flavor without overwhelming the chicken itself.
Most importantly, the chicken paired perfectly with the restaurant’s marbling sauce.
I mentioned this during my first visit, and I feel exactly the same way now.
The marbling sauce completely transforms the dish.
The creamy and slightly rich flavor works incredibly well with the pepper seasoning.
If someone orders the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken without the marbling sauce, they are honestly missing half of the experience.
Even after a second visit, I still consider this one of the best menu items available at Goobne Chicken.

Tteokbokki
The tteokbokki was another standout item.
I’ve tried tteokbokki at numerous Korean restaurants around the Dallas area, and this version remains one of my favorites.
The sauce delivered exactly what I expect from good tteokbokki.
It was spicy enough to provide heat while maintaining the sweetness that makes Korean street food so addictive.
The rice cakes remained chewy and satisfying without becoming overly soft.
What impressed me most was how balanced the flavor felt.
Some restaurants push the sweetness too far, while others focus only on spice.
Goobne’s version found a middle ground that worked extremely well.
If someone visits primarily for chicken, the tteokbokki is absolutely worth adding to the order.

Hawaiian Pizza
During my previous visit, I ordered the bulgogi pizza.
This time, I decided to try the Hawaiian pizza instead.
It ended up being a surprisingly smart decision.
The sweetness from the pineapple helped cut through some of the richness from the chicken.
Instead of competing with the chicken flavors, the pizza complemented them.
The combination created a meal that felt much more balanced overall.
As strange as it may sound, the Hawaiian pizza actually worked as a palate cleanser between bites of chicken and tteokbokki.
It wasn’t the star of the meal, but it played an important supporting role.

Goobne Chicken Carrollton Price and Portion Size
The portion sizes felt fair for the price.
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken alone is substantial enough to share, especially when combined with additional menu items.
The tteokbokki portion was also generous enough for multiple people at the table.
When adding a pizza into the mix, the overall meal easily becomes suitable for a group rather than a solo diner.
Considering the quality of the food and the consistency between visits, the value felt reasonable overall.

Overall Experience at Goobne Chicken Carrollton
This second visit confirmed many of the positive impressions I had after my first experience.
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken remained exceptional, the tteokbokki continued to impress, and the Hawaiian pizza unexpectedly helped create a balanced meal.
More importantly, the restaurant demonstrated consistency.
That consistency is something I value highly when deciding whether a restaurant deserves repeat visits.
Many places can provide a great first impression.
Far fewer restaurants can deliver the same satisfaction again on a return visit.
Goobne Chicken successfully passed that test for me.
My Final Verdict on Goobne Chicken Carrollton
Goobne Chicken Carrollton continues to be one of my favorite Korean chicken spots in the area.
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken and marbling sauce combination remains one of the best items on the menu, while the tteokbokki stands out as one of the stronger versions I’ve had locally.
The Hawaiian pizza also paired surprisingly well with the rest of the meal and helped create a more balanced dining experience.
After two visits, I can confidently say that Goobne Chicken delivers both quality and consistency.
When I’m craving Korean chicken again, this is absolutely a restaurant I will revisit.
