For my Goobne Chicken Carrollton second visit review, I returned to see whether the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken would be just as satisfying as I remembered from my first visit.
During my first visit, I tried several menu items, including Original Wings, Galbi Wings, Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken, and Bulgogi Pizza. While the wings were decent, the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken with Marbling Sauce was easily my favorite.
I enjoyed that combination enough that I already knew what I wanted to order when I returned.
This time, we ordered the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken again, along with Tteokbokki and Hawaiian Pizza.
The chicken lived up to my memory of the first visit. The Tteokbokki was also surprisingly satisfying, while the Hawaiian Pizza added a sweet contrast to the other dishes.
After two visits, I have a much clearer idea of what I would recommend at Goobne Chicken Carrollton and which dishes I would prioritize on my next visit.
Returning to Goobne Chicken Carrollton
My main reason for returning to Goobne Chicken was the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken.
On my first visit, I had ordered several different chicken styles to compare them. The Original Wings were relatively mild, while the Galbi Wings had a slightly sweet Korean seasoning.
Neither was particularly memorable to me, but the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken was different. I liked its tender texture and crispy exterior, especially when I paired it with the creamy Marbling Sauce.
That experience gave me a specific reason to return rather than simply trying another restaurant.
The atmosphere felt lively and comfortable again during this visit. However, my attention was mainly on whether the chicken would taste as good as I remembered.
Sometimes a dish makes a particularly strong impression the first time, only to feel less exciting when I order it again.
Fortunately, that did not happen here. I still enjoyed the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken, and the additional dishes made this visit interesting in a different way.
What I Ordered at Goobne Chicken Carrollton
We ordered three dishes during my second visit: Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken, Tteokbokki, and Hawaiian Pizza.
The chicken was a repeat order, but the other two dishes were different from what I had tried previously.
That gave me an opportunity to enjoy a familiar favorite while exploring more of the menu.
Each dish played a different role in the meal. The chicken was the main reason I returned, the Tteokbokki provided a sweet and spicy Korean flavor, and the Hawaiian Pizza offered a contrasting sweetness.
Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken: Still My Favorite
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken was once again the highlight of my visit to Goobne Chicken Carrollton.
I had enjoyed it so much the first time that I was curious whether ordering it again would change my opinion.
After trying it, I felt just as satisfied as I had during my previous visit.
The biggest reason was the texture. I prefer chicken that is tender and juicy inside rather than dry or overly firm.
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken delivered the soft texture I enjoy, while the exterior provided the crispiness that makes chicken satisfying to eat.
I also liked the pepper seasoning. It added plenty of flavor without making the chicken feel overwhelming after a few bites.
This was important because I wanted a chicken dish I could continue enjoying throughout the meal, rather than something that tasted exciting initially but became too heavy.
For me, the combination of tenderness, crispiness, and pepper seasoning worked just as well on my second visit.
That consistency reinforced why I had preferred this dish over the Original and Galbi Wings during my first visit.
However, the chicken was not the only reason I enjoyed this order. The Marbling Sauce remained an important part of the experience.
Marbling Sauce: The Combination I Would Not Skip
The Marbling Sauce was one of my favorite parts of the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken order.
I had already enjoyed this sauce during my first visit, when its creamy richness made the chicken even more satisfying.
After trying the combination again, I still felt the same way.
The creamy sauce worked particularly well with the pepper seasoning. It added richness to the chicken while complementing the flavor I already enjoyed.
I also liked how the sauce paired with the different textures. The chicken had a crispy exterior and tender interior, while the sauce added a smooth, creamy element.
For my taste, the chicken was already enjoyable on its own, but the Marbling Sauce made the order more memorable.
On my first visit, I had even felt that the amount of sauce was not enough for how much I liked it.
That is why I would consider getting extra Marbling Sauce on a future visit, if available.
My recommendation: If I could recommend only one combination from my two visits, it would be the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken with Marbling Sauce.
This was the dish that brought me back to Goobne, and I was happy that it remained just as enjoyable the second time.
Tteokbokki: One of My Favorite Versions in Dallas
The Tteokbokki was another dish that impressed me during my second visit.
I have eaten Tteokbokki at several Korean restaurants around Dallas, so I already have certain preferences when it comes to the texture of the rice cakes and the flavor of the sauce.
Goobne’s version was among the ones I have enjoyed most.
What stood out was the balance between sweetness and spiciness. The sauce had a noticeable kick, but the sweet flavor was still present.
I appreciated that the heat did not completely overpower the other flavors. Instead, the sweet and spicy elements worked together in a way that suited my taste.
The rice cakes also had the chewy texture I want from Tteokbokki.
That texture matters to me because even a flavorful sauce cannot fully make up for rice cakes that do not have the right consistency.
During this visit, I enjoyed both the sauce and the chewiness of the rice cakes.
I was especially pleased because I had returned mainly for chicken, not specifically to find another Tteokbokki restaurant.
Instead, the Tteokbokki became one of the more memorable parts of the meal.
It also worked well alongside the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken. The chicken provided a savory, crispy dish, while the Tteokbokki added a different sweet and spicy flavor.
Would I order it again? Definitely. If I return to Goobne, Tteokbokki would be one of the first additional dishes I would consider ordering with the chicken.
Hawaiian Pizza: A Sweet Contrast to the Chicken and Tteokbokki
During my first visit to Goobne Chicken, I ordered Bulgogi Pizza and enjoyed its slightly sweet Korean style flavor.
This time, we decided to try Hawaiian Pizza instead.
I was curious about how it would fit with the other dishes, especially because we already had flavorful chicken and spicy Tteokbokki on the table.
The sweetness from the pineapple turned out to be a surprisingly good contrast.
After eating the savory chicken or sweet and spicy Tteokbokki, taking a bite of the Hawaiian Pizza gave me a different flavor to enjoy.
That contrast made the overall meal more interesting, even though the pizza was not the highlight.
I would not say that Hawaiian Pizza was the main reason to visit Goobne. For me, the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken remained far more memorable.
However, I liked having the pizza alongside the other dishes. The pineapple’s sweetness provided a pleasant change between bites.
It was also interesting to compare this choice with my previous visit, when I had ordered Bulgogi Pizza.
Both visits included pizza, but the Hawaiian Pizza played a different role in this meal because of how its sweetness contrasted with the Tteokbokki.
Would I order it again? I would consider it when sharing several dishes, especially if I wanted a sweeter option alongside chicken and spicy Korean food.
What Changed Between My First and Second Visits?
After visiting Goobne Chicken Carrollton twice, I noticed that my favorite chicken order remained the same, but the additional dishes changed my overall experience.
During my first visit, I focused on comparing different chicken flavors. I tried Original Wings, Galbi Wings, and Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken.
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken was clearly my favorite because of its tender texture and crispy exterior.
I also discovered how much I liked the creamy Marbling Sauce with that chicken.
On my second visit, I did not feel the need to compare the same wing flavors again. I already knew which chicken I wanted.
Instead, I ordered Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken again and tried Tteokbokki and Hawaiian Pizza alongside it.
The chicken confirmed my original impression, while the Tteokbokki gave me another dish I would happily order again.
The Hawaiian Pizza was also enjoyable, although I appreciated it mainly because of how it complemented the rest of the meal.
In that sense, the second visit helped me move beyond simply deciding which chicken was best. I now have a better idea of which combination of dishes I would choose.

During this second visit, we ordered Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken, Tteokbokki, and Hawaiian Pizza.
For me, this combination felt better suited to sharing than ordering for one person.
Having chicken, rice cakes, and pizza on the same table gave us several different flavors to enjoy during the meal.
However, I would consider how many people were eating before ordering all three dishes again.
I did not record the exact prices or total bill from this visit, so I cannot provide a reliable price comparison or claim that one dish offered better value than another.
What I can evaluate is which dishes felt most worthwhile to me based on my experience.
The Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken would remain my first priority because it was the main reason I returned.
I would also strongly consider ordering Tteokbokki again because I enjoyed its sweet and spicy sauce and chewy rice cakes.
The Hawaiian Pizza would be an additional option depending on how many people were sharing the meal and whether we wanted something sweet alongside the other dishes.
For my next visit, I would rather prioritize the dishes I enjoyed most than automatically order all three again.
Overall Experience at Goobne Chicken Carrollton
My second visit to Goobne Chicken Carrollton was another positive experience, mainly because the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken remained just as satisfying as I remembered.
The chicken still had the tender texture I enjoy, and the pepper seasoning worked well with the creamy Marbling Sauce.
I appreciated that my favorite order from the first visit continued to meet my expectations.
The Tteokbokki was another highlight. I particularly enjoyed the balance of sweetness and spiciness in the sauce, along with the chewy texture of the rice cakes.
Having tried Tteokbokki at several Korean restaurants around Dallas, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Goobne’s version.
The Hawaiian Pizza was enjoyable for a different reason. It was not the dish I would return specifically to order, but its sweetness provided a nice contrast to the chicken and Tteokbokki.
I also found the restaurant lively and comfortable during this visit, which contributed positively to the experience.
More than anything, I liked returning for a particular chicken dish and discovering that I still enjoyed it as much as I did the first time.
That consistency, along with the Tteokbokki, gave me two clear reasons to consider another visit.
My Final Verdict on Goobne Chicken Carrollton
After two visits, Goobne Chicken Carrollton remains a restaurant I would happily return to for specific menu items.
My favorite chicken: Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken. Its tender texture and flavorful pepper seasoning continued to impress me during my second visit.
Best sauce pairing: Marbling Sauce. I enjoy its creamy richness with the chicken, and I would not want to skip it when ordering again.
Best additional dish: Tteokbokki. The balance between sweetness and spice, along with the chewy rice cakes, made it one of the most satisfying dishes of the meal.
Hawaiian Pizza: Enjoyable as a sweeter option alongside the chicken and Tteokbokki, but not the main reason I would return.
What changed after two visits: I still prefer the Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken over the wing flavors I tried previously, but now I also have a Tteokbokki order I would recommend.
Would I return? Yes. I would order Pepper Crispy Boneless Chicken with Marbling Sauce again and would strongly consider adding Tteokbokki.
