If you are looking for a place that offers both Korean BBQ and shabu in Lewisville, Manna Shabu is one of the more versatile options.
I recently visited for the second time, and this visit made one thing very clear to me.
While the restaurant offers both options, shabu is easily the stronger choice here.
When I want Korean BBQ, I usually go Moodaepo Carrollton, but when it comes to shabu, this is a place I consistently come back to.
Manna Shabu Lewisville Experience
This second visit felt more focused compared to my first visit.
Instead of trying everything, I already had a clear idea of what I wanted.
The restaurant itself feels spacious and comfortable, which makes a big difference when you are planning to sit down and enjoy a full meal.
Compared to other locations, this one feels more open, and that alone makes the experience more enjoyable.
What I Ordered at Manna Shabu
Soup Base Selection
One of the first decisions you make here is choosing your soup base.
During my first visit, I went with the spicy option.
This time, I decided to try the chicken soup instead.
While the chicken broth was clean and easy to eat, I couldn’t help but feel like I should have gone with the spicy soup again.
If you enjoy bold flavors, the spicy option is probably the better choice.
That said, trying different options is part of the experience here.
Meat Selection
There are around 11 different types of meat available for shabu.
Personally, I tend to avoid leaner cuts and focus on the more tender options.
For this visit, I mainly went with galbi, brisket, and chadol.
These cuts are soft, flavorful, and easy to enjoy without getting dry.
The texture is one of the biggest reasons I keep choosing these options.
They cook quickly and melt in your mouth, which fits perfectly with the shabu style.
Food Quality and Taste at Manna Shabu
Shabu Experience
The overall shabu experience here is very consistent.
The combination of broth, meat, and dipping sauce comes together well.
It’s not overly complicated, but it works.
That balance is what makes this place reliable.

One of the standout features at Manna Shabu is the sauce bar.
You can mix your own sauce based on your preference.
Adding ingredients like cilantro or chopped green onions allows you to customize the flavor even more.
This flexibility makes each bite feel slightly different, which keeps the meal interesting.
Atmosphere and Service at Manna Shabu
Atmosphere
The dining space is one of the strong points of this location.
It feels open and comfortable, which is important for a meal that takes time.
You don’t feel rushed, and there is enough space to enjoy the experience.
There is technically a time limit, but it’s generous enough that it never feels restrictive during the meal.
Service
The service was smooth and efficient.
Even with multiple options and a self-serve salad bar, everything felt organized.
It didn’t feel chaotic, which is something that can happen at similar restaurants.
Additional Experience at Manna Shabu
Salad Bar
If you choose shabu, you get access to the salad bar.
The selection is quite extensive, and you can build your plate however you want.
That said, I personally don’t use it as much.
I usually focus more on the meat and only go for a few items.
For me, it’s more of a bonus rather than the main attraction.
Noodles and Dessert
One of the best ways to finish the meal is with kalguksu.
The noodles work perfectly with the remaining broth.
You can also go for Korean style porridge at the end, but this time, I was too full to try it.
For dessert, I kept it simple with ice cream, which felt like a good way to wrap up the meal.
Overall Experience at Manna Shabu
This second visit confirmed my preference.
While the restaurant offers both Korean BBQ and shabu, I would strongly recommend choosing shabu here.
The consistency, variety, and overall balance make it the better option.
Compared to my other go-to spots, this is still one of the places I rely on when I want a solid shabu experience.
My Final Verdict on Manna Shabu
Manna Shabu Lewisville is a place I would confidently recommend if you are looking for a Korean BBQ and shabu combo restaurant.
However, if you ask me what to order, I would say go for the shabu without hesitation.
Between the variety of meats, customizable sauces, and overall consistency, it’s a satisfying experience every time.
Personally, I even prefer this location over the Carrollton one, especially because of the space and overall comfort.
Based on multiple visits, this is a place I will continue to come back to.
