For my Koji Sushi Denton second visit review, I returned to this Japanese restaurant with a different goal in mind. My first visit had left me satisfied with the sushi, but this time I wanted to find out whether the rest of the menu was just as enjoyable.
Instead of focusing entirely on sushi rolls, I ordered Tuna Tataki, Beef Yaki Soba, and a Special Roll. This combination gave me a chance to experience a different side of Koji Sushi.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed this second visit even more than the first. The sushi was still satisfying, the service felt smoother, and the Beef Yaki Soba became my favorite version of the dish I had tried so far.
That last point was particularly unexpected because I had originally returned to Koji Sushi for its sushi, not its noodles.

Why I Returned to Koji Sushi Denton
During my first visit, Koji Sushi impressed me with its fresh fish, satisfying sushi rolls, and relaxed dining atmosphere. However, I came away wanting to explore more of the menu before deciding which specific dishes I would recommend.
That became the main reason for my return. I wanted to try something beyond the sushi rolls and see whether the restaurant could deliver another enjoyable meal.
I was also interested in whether my positive first impression would hold up during a second visit. A restaurant can be enjoyable once, but returning provides another opportunity to evaluate the food and service.
By the end of this meal, I had found a dish that gave me a much more specific reason to come back.

Second Visit First Impression and Atmosphere
Returning to Koji Sushi felt familiar. The restaurant still had the casual, comfortable atmosphere I remembered, and nothing about the dining environment felt overly formal.
Because I already knew what to expect from the setting, I could pay more attention to the food and how the overall dining experience compared with my first visit.
One difference I noticed was the service. Although my first experience had been positive, the second visit felt smoother and more organized.
That improvement helped make the meal more enjoyable, especially since I had ordered several dishes rather than focusing on one type of sushi.

What I Ordered at Koji Sushi Denton
For my second visit, I ordered three dishes: Tuna Tataki, Beef Yaki Soba, and a Special Roll.
Choosing these dishes allowed me to compare different parts of the menu. The Tuna Tataki provided a different way to enjoy tuna, the Special Roll gave me another chance to evaluate the sushi, and the Beef Yaki Soba offered something completely different.
All three contributed to the meal, but they did not leave the same impression. The Beef Yaki Soba was easily my favorite, while the Tuna Tataki and Special Roll were enjoyable additions.

Tuna Tataki: A Different Way to Enjoy Tuna
The Tuna Tataki was a welcome change from the sushi rolls that had been the focus of my first visit.
What I appreciated most was the tuna itself. It had a pleasant texture and a clean flavor, both of which are important to me when eating a dish centered on fish.
I also liked how the Tuna Tataki fit into the rest of the order. With noodles and a sushi roll on the table, it provided a different kind of eating experience without feeling repetitive.
Although it wasn’t the most memorable dish of the evening, I enjoyed it and would consider it again when I wanted something different from a traditional roll.

Beef Yaki Soba: The Best Part of My Second Visit
The Beef Yaki Soba completely changed what I would recommend at Koji Sushi Denton.
Before this visit, I mainly associated the restaurant with its sushi. After trying the Beef Yaki Soba, I realized there was another dish on the menu that I would actively want to order again.
I have eaten beef yakisoba at other restaurants, but this was my favorite version so far. The combination of noodles, beef, and seasoning was especially satisfying to me.
The noodles had a texture I enjoyed, and the overall flavor kept me interested throughout the dish.
One issue I sometimes have with noodle dishes is that they can start to feel too heavy or repetitive as I continue eating. That was not my experience with this Beef Yaki Soba.
I continued enjoying it rather than losing interest halfway through the meal. That made a bigger impression on me than simply finding the dish tasty at first.
While I originally returned to Koji Sushi to try more of its Japanese menu, the Beef Yaki Soba ended up becoming the strongest reason for another visit.
My recommendation: If you enjoy stir-fried noodles and want to order something other than sushi at Koji Sushi, the Beef Yaki Soba would be my first choice based on this visit.

Special Roll: Was the Sushi Still Good?
Even though the Beef Yaki Soba became the highlight, I still wanted to find out whether the sushi would live up to my first experience.
The Special Roll gave me that opportunity. I remembered enjoying the freshness of the fish during my previous visit, and I was pleased to find a similar quality in this roll.
The fish had a clean flavor and soft texture, while the rice complemented the ingredients without overpowering them.
That balance was one of the things I had appreciated during my first visit, so it was encouraging to experience it again.
However, if I had to choose just one dish from this second meal to order again, I would pick the Beef Yaki Soba over the Special Roll.
That doesn’t mean the roll was disappointing. Rather, the noodle dish stood out enough to become my personal favorite.

Service and Overall Experience on My Second Visit
The service was another reason I preferred my second visit.
During my first experience, the staff had already been friendly and attentive. This time, however, the meal felt more organized, and the service seemed to flow more smoothly.
The food arrived at a comfortable pace, and I never felt pressured to finish quickly. That gave me enough time to enjoy the Tuna Tataki, Beef Yaki Soba, and Special Roll without rushing from one dish to another.
I wouldn’t describe the service as dramatically different from my first visit. It was more of a small but noticeable improvement that contributed to the overall experience.
Most importantly, the second visit changed my impression of what Koji Sushi does well. I arrived expecting another satisfying sushi meal and left thinking about the Beef Yaki Soba.

First Visit vs. Second Visit: What Changed?
My first visit to Koji Sushi was mainly about evaluating the sushi. I appreciated the clean flavor of the fish, the balance of the rolls, and the generous portions.
During my second visit, those positive impressions remained, but I discovered something new about the menu.
The Beef Yaki Soba became a standout dish for me, while the Tuna Tataki and Special Roll provided additional variety. The service also felt smoother than before.
As a result, I left my second visit with a clearer recommendation. Instead of simply saying that Koji Sushi serves satisfying sushi, I could now point to a specific noodle dish that I genuinely wanted to order again.
My Final Verdict on Koji Sushi Denton Second Visit
My second visit to Koji Sushi Denton was better than my first, largely because I found a new favorite dish.
The Tuna Tataki was enjoyable, and the Special Roll delivered the sushi quality I remembered. However, the Beef Yaki Soba was easily the most memorable part of the meal.
I especially appreciated that the noodles remained satisfying throughout the dish rather than becoming too heavy or repetitive.
The comfortable atmosphere and smoother service also contributed to a positive experience, but it was the food discovery that made this visit more meaningful to me.
Would I return? Absolutely. I would seriously consider ordering the Beef Yaki Soba again, while continuing to explore other dishes on the menu.
If you’re visiting Koji Sushi Denton for the first time, I think the sushi is worth considering. But if you enjoy Japanese noodle dishes or want something beyond sushi rolls, the Beef Yaki Soba is the dish I would personally recommend from this visit.
