I recently visited Himalayan Aroma in Irving for the first time, and it turned out to be a really memorable experience.
I have not had much experience with Nepali food before, so I was honestly not sure what to expect going in.
But after this visit, it felt like I had been missing out on something really good.
Himalayan Aroma Irving First Impression
When I first walked into Himalayan Aroma Irving, the space felt warm and comfortable.
The atmosphere was calm, and it had a relaxed vibe that made it easy to sit down and enjoy the meal.
It did not feel overly busy during my visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made a good first impression right away.
What We Ordered at Himalayan Aroma
For this visit, I decided to focus on dishes that I had heard about before.
I ordered momo, which is often described as a Nepali-style dumpling, along with jhol momo, which is served in a flavorful soup.
Since I am familiar with Korean dumplings, I was curious to see how momo would compare.

Momo Review
The momo was one of the highlights of the meal.
It had a soft outer layer with a juicy filling inside, which made it feel somewhat familiar but still different in a good way.
Compared to Korean dumplings, the flavor felt lighter but still packed with enough seasoning to make each bite satisfying.
The texture was well balanced, and it did not feel too heavy.
It was easy to keep eating without getting tired of it.

Jhol Momo Review
The jhol momo was honestly the most memorable dish from the visit.
The dumplings were served in a rich, flavorful soup that added a completely different experience compared to regular momo.
The broth had a deep and slightly spiced flavor that paired really well with the dumplings.
Each bite felt more layered, with both the texture of the momo and the warmth of the soup coming together.
This dish alone made the visit worth it.
Trying Nepali Food for the First Time
Since I do not usually eat Nepali food, this visit was a new experience for me.
After trying these dishes, it felt like Nepali food matches my taste more than I expected.
The flavors were not too overwhelming, but still had enough depth to make the dishes interesting.
It felt familiar in some ways, but also different enough to stand out.
Atmosphere and Overall Experience
The overall experience at Himalayan Aroma Irving was smooth and enjoyable.
The food came out at a good pace, and the atmosphere stayed calm throughout the visit.
It felt like a place where you can sit down, take your time, and actually enjoy the meal.
This kind of relaxed environment makes it easy to come back again.
Final Thoughts on Himalayan Aroma Irving
Overall, my first visit to Himalayan Aroma Irving was a really positive experience.
The momo and jhol momo both stood out, especially the jhol momo which was easily the highlight of the meal.
If you have not tried Nepali food before, this is a great place to start.
If you are in Irving and looking for something a little different from the usual options, Himalayan Aroma is definitely worth trying.
I would come back again to explore more dishes on the menu next time.
